Facebook moves to Secure Social Network | Moving to HTTPS on 1st Oct.

 As  launched Globally, making changes for competing with Google plus. First they changes photo size bigger from 720 pixels to 960 pixels and make them load faster than before. Also photo uploaded to our profile will be displayed in high resolution. Then Facebook changes in friends list, make it into three improvements: 1. Smart lists, 2. Close Friends or Acquaintances lists and last one is 3. Better suggestions. Facebook also later introduces Subscribe button. Also Facebook introduces new News Feeds with Top Story, so it will help us whenever we come, we got fresh news.
They recently introduce “timeline”, so you can save your profile with timeline and also you can add timeline to your apps.FaceBook-moves-to-secure
Now they add one more feature to their social sites, they now add secure browsing for every users. Before this they introduced secure browsing and many of Facebook users use that facility. And also introduces secure canvas url and secure tab url fields in the Developer App for the developer to provide their app over HTTPS connection.
As they making Facebook more stronger and secure, they get some transition between old authentication and HTTP to OAuth 2.0 and HTTPS. OAuth 2.0 is Open Standard co-authored with Yahoo, , and others. Because of huge numbers of apps using legal Facebook auth system, so they make decision to developers to make their apps HTTPS friendly till 1st Oct. This is because Facebook applications accidently leaking access third parties. Now the developers need their apps to pass from OAuth 2.0. So if your app is not support HTTPS browsing then Fan Pages related to your apps will be disappeared. In order for developers to be compliant with Facebook's platform update each developer will essentially be required to deliver content via SSL. That means that each developer's server will need to be SSL equipped.
